This is the beginning of our sailing channel, we we take you through the process of our buying experience with our Hanse 418 and all the experiences we have around it. A small clip of how our sailing channel will begin. Finding the fonts, theme tunes etc. Not our boat in the video as we don't have our boat yet. We have to wait until April and that can't come fast enough.

► Full Test in Multihulls World N°183: https://www.multihulls-world.com/essais/catamaran/dufour-48-the-first-catamaran-by-umberto-felci-on-course-for-la-dolce-vita ► The launch in 2018 of this Dufour catamaran intended for charter was understandably thwarted by the takeover of the yard by Fountaine Pajot... One might have thought that this 48 was going to be consigned to history. But no - Dufour Yachts and the Croatian charter company Under the Heavens signed a sale agreement this summer for JJL Catamarans. The multihull designed by Umberto Felci will therefore still be produced while keeping the Dufour brand. A second model was to be presented during the Cannes Yachting Festival 2023 but it was desired... The 48 presented here is doing well since five years after its launch, it is the No. 60 that we invite you to discover in this video ! ► TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Builder: JJL Catamarans Italy Length: 48’3” (14.70 m) Beam: 26’3” (8 m) Displacement: 32,960 lbs (14.95 t) Mainsail area: 818 sq ft (76 m²) Solent: 517 sq ft (48 m²) Engines: 2 x 50 or 60 HP Fuel: 237 US gal (900 l) Water: 185 US gal (700 l) Log on to our website to discover over 500 multihulls tests! The skipper on GTR is a little too casual going into a gybe resulting in a massive wipe out that nearly took his head off. While the wind is light, just below 10 knots, the boom on this Mumm 36 racing yacht still gets up too a fast speed with plenty of power as the boom moves from one side of the boat to the the other. The mistake made by the skipper was not getting setup correctly for the gybe. The running back stay was not correctly setup outside the boom prior to the Gybe. The skipper was too worried about fixing this, failed to do so, which result in in both the back stay and the main sheet getting wrapped around his neck which in turn picked him up and deposited him down to leeward after the gybe was completed. The skipper was OK after the wipe out, he regained his breath, the bruised ribs healed in time as did his pride.
