Last week I visited the ARES Shipyard in Turkey. If you have ever seen the documentary video I produced there last year, you will know that they have built a solid reputation for constructing military craft and are now offering an eye catching 62m super sailing yacht called SIMENA. My friends and colleagues Deniz Kaymaz and Sean McCarter from Northrop & Johnson represent the yacht for sale. Can’t wait to go back in the summer and film the sea trials!!!

We've been out on my 33year old, 30ft Sagitta catamaran a few times since launching a month ago. But yesterday was the first "real" sail. I was joined by Alex and Kristina, who had sailed the boat a couple of times last year. There was more wind than expected, 20+ in Plymouth Sound. We left the mooring at 14.30, reached out to sea until we were 10 miles south of the breakwater (according to the gps) then turned round and were back on mooring at 17.30. 27 miles sailed. No breakages, but a spinnaker wrap on the last gybe as we re-entered the Tamar. So "a good time was had by all", and hopefully bodes well for the Falmouth Triangle race this holiday weekend. Soltamos as amarras dia 1/4 e em 15 dias paramos em 5 cidades, passamos por duas eclusas e 23 pontes se abriram para passarmos! Já visitamos os moinhos de Zaandam, Amsterdam, Haarlem e as tulipas de Keukenhof em Lisse. Ao mesmo tempo continuamos arrumando o barco e editando vídeos… que aliás começam amanhã no canal da @revistanautica !!!
