🪢 Sunday Boat Tip [7/52] 🪢 Our gas oven only has heating from below, and when first moving onboard cooking in it was a real struggle! The food got badly burnt on the underside and was often undercooked on the topside, resulting in really bad cooking 🧑🍳 But since we got this advice during our first winter as liveaboards our cooking game has improved so much! So, now it’s time for us to pass the knowledge forward. If you have a gas oven with no top heating, you must try this! A shorty peek at removing an emergency boat repair patch on our steel motorsailer Alaskan Gypsy. Armed with a hammer and chisel, I take on a temporary fix made of Z-Spar Splash Zone epoxy, 3M 5200 marine adhesive, a rubber gasket, and an aluminum backing plate.
