? Full test in Special Issue N°24 Forever Green. ? Winner of Multihull of the Year in the Multiyacht category, the ModX 70 was definitely the multihull not to be missed at La Grande-Motte. This new 100% renewable-energy cruising catamaran has already proven its technological prowess by completing a circumnavigation of Spain without using any fossil fuels. The ModX 70 is equipped with the latest technology, enabling it to operate without a generator on board. To achieve this feat without jeopardizing safety, the MODX 70 designers decided to launch a catamaran large enough to support a very powerful battery bank (230 kWh in fact!) while increasing the potential area of the solar panels - it stretches to 750 square feet (70 m²). The two motors are capable of a 100-mile range. The fully automated rig is perhaps the most amazing feature as the two retractable carbon masts - one on each hull - each support a 1,345 sq ft (125 m²) inflatable wing that can reach 75 feet (23 meters) in height. The build involved using 38% biosourced epoxy resin, 40% recycled PET foam, flax fiber and cork. One last point to highlight: This catamaran of the future is nothing like an uncomfortable prototype-quite the opposite, in fact. The layout is as comfortable as it is well finished. The ModX 70 is an undeniable success that will be remembered in the history of yachting-well done! ? Giorno 27 - MARSALA Oggi parliamo di arancine e di saluti. Le prime sono da citare perché sono un dono del cielo regalato alla Sicilia affinché potesse diffondere quel sapore e quell'aroma in tutta Italia. I saluti purtroppo ci lasciano un sapore più amaro in bocca. Se poi ti chiami Andrea inizierai a provare quel senso di malinconia e di separazione con largo anticipo. Ogni momento verrà toccato dalla mano blu di Tristezza di "Inside Out" e si colorerà di toni freddi e desaturati. Queste parentesi con amici e parenti che vengono a trovarci iniziano ad assumere un aspetto che sa di caldo e di famiglia. Un po' come se tutti ci spostassimo insieme. O come se non si stesse creando una distanza che non farà altro che aumentare. Allora una breve parentesi in cui si condivide del tempo insieme diventa improvvisamente molto preziosa. Questo è ciò che vogliamo portarci a casa e conservare con amore. Quando siamo da soli essere orientati alla meta, al lavoro, a noi stessi e al viaggio.
