A quick highlight from our recent trip to Riga, Latvia 🇱🇻, where Katia went behind the scenes at Latitude Yachts to see the LANIAKEA 88’ power catamaran taking shape. This is one of those milestones that never gets old — the moment the hull comes out of the mould and the project suddenly feels real. In the full film, Katia meets the team, walks you through key elements of the build, and shares some of the construction techniques that make a huge difference to strength, finish, and long-term quality. Welcome aboard our family-friendly adventure! We are a family of five sailing around the world on our "dream boat," a performance cruising catamaran named "Archer!" Twelve years ago, before kids, we sailed a Lagoon 380 named "Honeymoon" halfway around the world from the East Coast of the US to Sydney, Australia. Along the way we shared our experiences with family and by happenstance created one of the first "sailing channels" on YouTube. But more than anything, we realized what an incredible experience that first trip was and that someday we wanted to do it again, only this time with our kids. We want to share with them the importance of taking time to be with family. To show them a world outside of the one they grew up in. We want them to appreciate how lucky we are to experience the natural beauty of this world.
