Dreaming of Raja Ampat? Think turquoise waters, untouched coral reefs, and the feeling of being completely off the grid. 🌴🐠 Before you set sail, here are 3 things every explorer should know about traveling to Raja Ampat: 1️⃣ Best Time to Visit Raja Ampat The ideal season is October to April, when the seas are calm, the water is crystal-clear, and manta rays are often spotted. It’s also the perfect time for snorkeling, diving, and photography with golden sunsets and calmer skies. 2️⃣ What to Pack for Raja Ampat Life onboard a sailing expedition is simple, but a few essentials go a long way: ✔️ Reef-safe sunscreen 🌞 ✔️ Dry bag for your gear 💧 ✔️ Water shoes or sandals 🩴 ✔️ A journal or book for quiet island moments 📖 ✔️ Most importantly—your sense of wonder. 3️⃣ Why Sailing is the Best Way to Explore Raja Ampat This remote archipelago wasn’t made for roads, it was made for sails. Traveling by a traditional phinisi boat lets you access hidden lagoons, uninhabited beaches, and rich marine life that land-based travel simply can’t reach. With SeaTrek, this isn’t just a vacation, it’s a voyage of discovery. One that connects you to nature, local culture, and yourself. Are you ready to set sail into Raja Ampat’s wild beauty? 🌊 #RajaAmpat #SeaTrekExperience #SailingIndonesia #LifeOnBoard #EcoTravel #RajaAmpatDiving #SnorkelingRajaAmpat #SustainableTravel
Global Surveyor on her approach to Gibraltar, one of the busiest waterways in the world! Our AIS screen has been dotted with ships, and the ship traffic took our attention from the monolithic jewel of the Iberian Peninsula: Gibraltar Rock. All went well and after a challenging mooring manoeuvre, we were off to the shore to enjoy the November sunshine in one of the restaurants. With excellent flight connection, Gibraltar is a must see not only for sailors but also nature and history lovers. @gowestsailing
