Where should we go or what should we try next? We've been in Trinidad a while but hadn't tried a huge selection of local food, so when a Trini friend invited us to go to the Queen's Park Savannah Food Strip in Port of Spain of course we said yes! It was a fun way to try a huge selection of dishes, including Goat Geera, Chicken Roti, Pig Tails and Pie. It’s a mix of emotions — most of the fleet is behind you, but three yachts are still ahead, and with the finish line fast approaching, there’s no time left to catch them. Which means no podium finish this time. It was a 15-mile offshore race from Rogoznica’s Marina Frapa to Maslenica, on the island of Šolta, Croatia. As the race unfolded, the wind intensified to over 24 knots, with gusts hitting 32.
