If you don't have a launching trolley then the simplest way to get your boat up and down the beach is with an inflatable roller like this. Of course, unlike a trolley, you can take it with you, just deflate it and roll it up. Obviously you really need two or three (but I just have one - for now!). Don't get one that is too short or the boat might roll off the end of it. Of course a wide, flat bottomed boat works best. I got mine from www.sailormall.net, search for pneumatic roller, not inflatable roller! Global Surveyor on her approach to Gibraltar, one of the busiest waterways in the world! Our AIS screen has been dotted with ships, and the ship traffic took our attention from the monolithic jewel of the Iberian Peninsula: Gibraltar Rock. All went well and after a challenging mooring manoeuvre, we were off to the shore to enjoy the November sunshine in one of the restaurants.
