In 2014 Ed completed an 18 month circumnavigation with his father, and I (Paige) got to tag along for most of the Pacific🙌🏻. Following Ed's return we knew we would do whatever it took to get back on the water, this time in our own boat, together. So, after nearly 5 years of planning, saving, and questioning our sanity, we quit our jobs in 2019 and sold most of our non-essential/non-heartfelt belongings. We've decided to spend the next few years dedicating ourselves to travel and adventure while living aboard our 37 foot home, Sea Pearl. What a fantastic day at our Traditional Boatbuilding Skills Experience Day! It was a pleasure to welcome a small group of enthusiastic participants who spent the day learning the traditional woodworking techniques used to build and restore wooden boats. From developing practical hand skills to gaining a deeper appreciation of our maritime heritage, everyone had the opportunity to experience the craftsmanship that keeps these historic vessels alive. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and made the day such a success. We’re also incredibly grateful to the National Lottery Heritage Fund for supporting our heritage projects and helping us share these traditional skills with new audiences.
