I’m heading to Tokyo for another IAFOR conference — this one focused on education, with nearly 800 delegates from 65 countries. IAFOR (The International Academic Forum — https://iafor.org) is a global, multicultural, interdisciplinary network that convenes scholars from around the world to advance research, dialogue, and innovation. I’ll also be meeting Professor Jim McNally, one of the world’s leading gerontologists and a beta reader for my new book. City Sailing Land Survival Course A land survival course is a training program designed to teach individuals how to survive in the wilderness or other remote areas in case of an emergency. This course typically covers a variety of skills and topics, including shelter building, water procurement, fire starting, food gathering, navigation, and emergency signaling. We learn how to build shelters using natural materials, start fires without matches, identify edible plants and animals, and navigate using a map and compass. They may also learn about the psychological and emotional aspects of survival, such as staying calm and positive in a stressful situation.
