We were thrilled to celebrate the 50-year anniversary of the Hokule'a, a remarkable replica of an ancient Polynesian double-hulled voyaging canoe. This milestone is not just about a boat; it's a celebration of the revival of traditional non-instrument navigation techniques and the enduring spirit of Polynesian cultural heritage and wayfinding. The Hokule'a is celebrated for its role in reconnecting Pacific Islanders with their ancestral voyaging traditions, fostering cultural pride, and inspiring a new generation to protect our oceans. Today the Hokule'a arrived after a 3 week passage from Hawai'i. #hokulea
