A car makes a dangerous pass at Market and Sanchez in San Francisco, crossing the double yellow and speeding. At the next intersection, the car illegally passes in the intersection and speeds again. License plate lools like 7L3L972 or 7LSL972 Behavior like this is common on Sanchez between Market and Duboce. Also, my passive-aggressiveness was stupid and didn't help anything.
After having a fast sail down the coast from San Francisco to Santa Barbara in some very windy conditions, it was wonderful to be back in a dock. We knew we were officially in Santa Barbara, and SoCal in general, when we saw someone taking a poo barefoot... the ol' SoCal Barefoot Pooper! Why put shoes on when you could... not.
We just crossed the Panama Canal on Zambezi, and let’s just say… it’s not a lazy Sunday sail. Here’s what caught us off guard: ⛵️ Your boat is not important. You’re just a tiny dot next to the big container ships. Be prepared to get moved around to fit the schedule. 💪 Your line handlers need muscles. The chambers fill fast, the current pulls hard, and keeping the lines tight is real work. Don’t skip arm day 😉 🧑✈️ You need to know how to steer in currents. Between the water rushing in and the 300-meter cargo ship powering up in front of you, your rudder needs a steady hand. Now that we’re through the Canal, we have “only” 2,800nm left to sail to our final destination in Canada. Should be doable by September, right? Stay Salty!
