Le nœud de cabestan ou d'amarre est un nœud couramment utilisé en matelotage et en alpinisme. Rapide à faire et à défaire, il ne risque pas de s'ouvrir sous la tension, sans pour autant se souquer (c'est-à-dire sans se serrer de lui-même sous l’effet des tensions, jusqu'à devenir très difficile a dénouer). Les deux brins se serrent indépendamment sous la traction, mais si la tension se relâche, ce nœud peut se desserrer. Il est possible de le nouer au milieu d'un cordage, même si les deux extrémités ne sont pas accessibles. Trey is a professional builder and a Seakeeper Ride installer and he sent us a video of his Marissa he was testing out with the Seakeeper Ride tabs installed. From Trey, "I was able to get some short running footage showing how well the Marissa hull works in small chop. The Marissa 18 is the best riding 18 footer I've ever been on and now with the seakeeper ride it makes it even better than before. Amazing hull design paired with technology is very impressive. Speed was about 26-27 mph."
