I bought a wee sailboat!! Introducing ENYA, a 26ft Victoria 800 built in 1996. After spending the last 6 months working my arse off and saving as much money as I could I finally did it!!! I had my eye on this boat when it first came on the market, and eventually went to have a look at it when I got back to Scotland. We hauled her out for a survey last week, and.. to keep a long story short I was handed the keys 3 days ago and we went on the maiden voyage yesterday. Gahhh I’m probably the happiest human in the world right now, just look at that wee canoe stern. After 10 years of living overseas, the plan is to spend the next few months sailing around the Scottish isles, seeing more of my homeland and hanging with the family. Talk about being SHOCKED! My neighbor SURPRISED me with a gift that he got while free diving in front of our home. He saw me firing up the grill for some steak and thought he would go free diving to turn my dinner into a "surf and turf". He walked straight out of the ocean and up to my lanai and proceeded to clean it right there! I have never cooked an octopus before so I asked him how and he gave me some quick tips and then handed it to me. When I put the Octopus into the boiling pot of water it began to move. Then when I put the salt in the water it moved even more. It was trippy! Knowing what I know now, I will certainly try a few things different to help get the meat to be more tender.
