In future videos I’ll show what kind of trash we’ve been picking up in the ocean. But at the end of the day, as sailors, we are in the nest position to make an impact and reduce our own footprints by picking up plastic that we see in the water. If everyone did that, we’d have a little less plastic in the oceans.

The giant manta rays of Revillagigedo are unique in their desire to interact with divers. A diver maneuvers under the curious manta as we believe the mantas enjoy the feeling of the bubbles on his belly. He enjoys them so much that he does a somersault around the diver. Wow! Schön, dass du hier bist! Wir, Emely und Tjark, haben uns den Traum vom eigenen Segelboot erfüllt, eine Maxi84, relativ spontan und ohne das ganz große Geld. Das Boot müssen wir noch umtaufen auf den Namen Meera. Wir nehmen dich mit auf unsere Reise von blutigen Anfängern zu hoffentlich passablen Seglern. Bevor wir uns in die Wellen stürzen können, liegt noch ein Berg an Arbeit vor uns. Umbauten, Änderungen und vor allem der Sportbootführerschein müssen erledigt werden.
