Getting up while it’s still dark feels impossible — every single time. But the when I step into the cockpit and take over the watch, it’s like the world hits pause just for me. The silence. The stillness. The sky slowly shifting from black to gold. And honestly… the best part? Breakfast is whatever snack you grab first, because no one is there to judge. It’s the kind of magic you forget exists until you’re the only one awake to witness it. Morning watch isn’t just a duty. ✨It feels like a gift✨ Have you ever done a morning watch? What’s your favourite part — or what do you imagine it would be? #circumnavigation #sailing #cutedog #mediterranean #cruising #sailingdog #sailaway #sailinglife #liveaboard #sailingcouple #shortoftheday
A Canadian classic, only 160 Ontario 32’s were built and and we are thrilled to have Hull #15 on our Sales Dock at our Sidney location! Stepping aboard it is apparent that “Bandit” has been lovingly maintained and upgraded by her Owners of almost exactly two decades. Complete with a full cockpit enclosure, hard dodger and a hard bimini equipped with solar panels, these spirited sailing vessels can often be found on club racing circuits as they sail beautifully. The large roomy interior is extremely well appointed with a large v-berth, enclosed head, comfortable main salon with seating around a large centreline positioned table, pilot berth, aft galley and plenty of headroom and storage. What makes “Bandit” different than her sister-ships are the new eye-catching stainless opening ports that not only bring in ventilation, they provide a ton of natural light into the cabin space. Repowered with a Beta diesel engine, Bandit comes with a Highfield RIB, Mercury outboard and assumable moorage at your choice of either North Saanich Marina or our Westport Marina in Sidney. Available to view by appointment, please contact our Vancouver Island Sales Office at 250-656-5832 to schedule a showing.
Checking expiration dates on key boating safety equipment is critical as you head back out on the water this year. While it's important to check expiration dates because its the law, ultimately doing this quick check is critical for the safety of you and your guests. For example, pyrotechnic flares expire 42 months after date of manufacture and have an expiration date stamped on them. Fire extinguishers now must be replaced at least every 12 years. And even automatic inflatable life jacket bobbins need to replaced regularly.
