The new catamaran will slot in between the Excess 11 and Excess 14. ▫️ Helping them on the next stage of the brand's journey will be Lombard Design (MLYDG) – in charge of the naval architecture and Jean Marc Piaton who will design the interiors. ▫️ We are looking forward to seeing the design in more detail in early 2024! The Kerr 32 HighJacker lead the way in the first race of the annual strangford lough narrows series. The sun was peaking through the clouds just after the start on the first run before the rain and wind built with puffs over 30 knots. The Kerr 32 slipped away for the the J109 GTR on the way to the bottom mark before stretching their lead on the first beat. As the rain and wind kicking in the during the second half of the race the J109 powered on to victory both over the line and on corrected time. A quick intro to a relatively new feature, the carbon fiber steering wheel! We got a chance to see ours being built. Picking it up makes it feel like it is made from balsa wood. The weight of the assembly just about doubles when the stainless steel hub is added.
