In our last video I started making all-new cushions to upgrade our boat. The originals were ready for the bin - destroyed covers, collapsed foam and so uncomfortable you questioned whether you were actually laying on concrete. While they might only be a DIY effort, I think the new ones have turned out pretty good. The foam is way more comfy and the blue fabric should look even better once our catamaran relaunches and the saloon is contrasting off the ocean!
#boatlife #sailing #sailingonabudget #cruising #offshoresailing #boatmaintenance It’s always such a pity to throw away sailing rope, it’s so damn expensive- surely there is something we can do with it ? The answer is yes and this episode I show how you can make something that will save a few bucks, make the boat look nicer and help develop some seamanship skills. Sail handling is optimized for ease with a self-tacking jib, electric winches, and an optional in-boom furling mainsail, contributing to its 239 m² reference sail area. Propulsion is provided by a VOLVO PENTA D4-180 engine. The interior features a comfortable, open-plan saloon and galley, illuminated by ample natural light, finished in old oak. The well-equipped galley includes substantial refrigeration and specific appliances. Accommodation provides for six guests: two in the forward master cabin and four in two aft twin-bed guest cabins, each with an ensuite.
