Monaco dahling? I’d rather be sailing! In our latest episode, having sailed further east from Antibes, we waited for a weather window to cross back to Corsica and found ourselves in Monaco - known the world over as the playground of the rich and famous. We dipped our toes into this tiny but exclusive and expensive country and watched the weather. Instead of the hoped for northerlies to blow us across to Corsica, the forecast grew into a far reaching mistral and the marina had no space for us to stay! After finding what we hoped would be a protected anchorage we crossed our fingers…. You can see sea-turtles on just about in site in Komodo. However, there are only a few places where the turtles turn up in large numbers when they need a good scrubbing from the smaller fish who are eager to eat the algae from their shells. Just like mantas turning up over specific cleaning stations to have the parasites picked from their bodies, turtles do the same, forming a symbiotic relationship between the fish and the turtles/rays.
