Benetti has delivered the M/Y “Elaldrea+”, 49-meter displacement yacht. She features many singularities particularly worthy of notice: besides the steel hull, Elaldrea+ has an aluminium superstructure painted in pearl white with silver accents. Depending on the angle of the light, a special iridescent effect enhances the details of the shapes or hides them completely from view. Exterior styling by Horacio Bozzo and interiors by the Benetti Style Department breathe life into an elegant yacht designed for family and social life. Many of the spaces on board are designed to be used during navigation, not least the large beach club with air conditioning, sofa, TV, bar and sauna. With one window in the ceiling and one in the rear door, which opens out onto a swim platform of almost 25 sqm, the setting is flooded with natural light even when cruising. A short and sweet little clip of some of the go pro footage we captured at the poor knights marine reserve in NZ this week. We have taken some time off video editing lately to concentrate on boat maintenance, work to save some pennies and take a little break to enjoy NZ without cameras. However this was just too special not to share. Being able to access unique places that you can only get to by water is part of what makes the Roam adventure so special. We had the pleasure of taking our new Crew members Sam and Estelle, to the poor knights Islands marine reserve where we anchored over night and were lucky to have some nice conditions for a spot of free diving. A very different experience to the snorkeling scenery in the tropics with cold water fish species, soft corals and kelps. The abundance of sea life in these protected waters is something really special. It clearly shows what the oceans would be like without human impact. Hope you enjoy - Liss
