In the continuity of the event "Molang and the preservation of the Oceans" at the Paris Aquarium, which ends on March 8, 2020, Millimages and the Race for Water Foundation announce a long-term partnership to raise awareness among the greatest number of people, especially children, about the preservation of the seas and the reduction of plastic waste. The priority for maintaining optimal VMG downwind in waves is to continue surfing. When required to gybe, whether due to your orientation to the course, tactics or wind change - maintaining speed on a wave is critical. Surfing keeps you moving down the course while completing the maneuver. The trick is to initiate surfing by doing a roundup. This allows you to bring extra sheet tension in while accelerating which allows you to gybe on a much deeper angle - hence maintaining connection on the wave. In this video, we've presented some basic steps to take to complete the surfing gybe.
