Crowd was hypnotized while Marilyn’s dress was flying above her knees and “Oh dear!”- even above her head. We're Nick and Terysa and we’ve become completely obsessed with the idea of sailing around the world and sharing our experiences and information through our sailing lifestyle videos with others. We met travelling around India, and quickly agreed that rather than “settling down” and doing what most normal people do, we wanted to travel and have adventures! We moved onto our 38 foot monohull in 2014, sailed across the Atlantic twice, cruised the Caribbean, Bahamas and Europe, before buying a brand new 45 ft catamaran! We hope you enjoy what we do. I wrote a small blog post about connecting my tillerpilot to my windvane. You can check it out here http://whitespotpirates.com/how-to-connect-a-raymarine-tillerpilot-to-a-windpilot-pacific/ Anyone of you have a similar set up on your boat? My Raymarine autopilot is not strong enough for my 8.5t aluminum Reinke Super 10. That is why I decided to try out what I had read from other boat owners with the same problem: to connect my autopilot to my Windpilot Pacific to reduce the needed power for stearing. I still have to test it out on the water...but it seems to work so far. I was just wondering if it could possibily damage my windvane with this set up, that is why I wanted to ask Peter Foerthmann of http://www.windpilot.com/ for advice. Let's see what he thinks about it... Ahoy, Nike & Karl ATTENTION: this is REAL TIME ;) Just mounted that thing yesterday! I know this is all very confusing with the timing and stuff...sorry for that.
Tying your first bowline knot feels impossible… until one day it doesn’t. ⛵️ I still remember how awkward my hands felt when I tried it the first time. But with practice — and good mentors — it became second nature.. like doing it blindfolded😎 I’d like to invite you to my Sailing School, where we learn all the basics and skills you need — from navigation and knots to safety and docking. Not just to “get a license,” but to one day take your friends or family on your own trip, explore new places, and feel the freedom of being the captain. 🌊✨ 📖 *Theory Course* starts September 2025 (online) ⛵️ *Practice Week* → November 1–7, 2025 (Mallorca)
