This Aviation has: 2 ½ ounces of gin ¾ ounce lemon juice (fresh squeezed) ½ ounce Luxardo Liqueur ½ ounce Creme de Violette 1 Luxardo cherry (optional) 1 strip of lemon peel for garnish Place gin (I used Empress Indigo Gin!), Luxardo liqueur, and Crème de Violette, lemon juice, and ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake the cocktail shaker until the shaker is cold and the ingredients are thoroughly mixed. Pour the cocktail in a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a Luxardo cherry and a strip of lemon peel. We were in the midst of making a mistake, much like last winter. Fully engaged in various projects, a screwdriver here, a wrench there... and suddenly, we place something on our beautifully lacquered dining table, causing deep scratches on the tabletop ✨ We’ve agreed that we bought the boat to use it, so it’s not like we’re walking on tiptoes to avoid wear and tear on the boat. Where we can, we take preventive measures. Therefore, the dining table, which has turned into a work table over the winter, has been covered with an old tablecloth to avoid unnecessary wear 🛠️ The scratches and marks we’ve made throughout the boat are annoying when they happen. One tells oneself, “if only I had done it this way, it would never have happened.” But we’ve gotten better at saying “oh well,” and as time goes on, the scars remind us of a specific time or episode aboard the boat ⛵️
