One of our NSSC Sailability members, Jazz Turner, featured on BBC South East Today lunchtime news on leaving Brighton Marina at the start of her epic Project FEAR ("face everything and rise") journey. She is attempting to become the first female wheelchair user to complete a solo, non-stop, unassisted circumnavigation of the UK and Ireland. One afternoon in October while bowhunting in the woods back home, big lazy flakes of snow started falling. The woods were so quiet and tranquil. It is a memory of home that I am very fond of. There’s no snow here on the sailboat. Just some light rain every now and then…almost daily. Winter here is quite different from what I am used to back in Alberta.
