🪢 Sunday Boat Tip [7/52] 🪢 Our gas oven only has heating from below, and when first moving onboard cooking in it was a real struggle! The food got badly burnt on the underside and was often undercooked on the topside, resulting in really bad cooking 🧑‍🍳 But since we got this advice during our first winter as liveaboards our cooking game has improved so much! So, now it’s time for us to pass the knowledge forward. If you have a gas oven with no top heating, you must try this! Until now, the yard was offering an optional helm station featuring a retractable T-Top for protection, but aboard the 62, there’s an immense 538-square foot (50 m²) flybridge that remains fixed. This generous surface area provides space for a bar, galley, dining table and large bench-seating for 10 to 12 people. The flybridge is of course covered by a vast T-Top, which not only provides protection but, above all, is suitable for installing an optimal surface area of solar panels. But the manufacturer goes a step further than the classic open fly version - which is the one we got to test at Cannes - as this third level can also be converted into a closed saloon or owner’s suite.
