Day 3 of our Christmas calendar takes us to the aft cabin—our cozy retreat and one of the biggest reasons we chose a center cockpit boat! 🛥️ Here’s what makes this cabin so special: 🛌 A 160 cm wide bed that fits both of us (and our dog 🐶) comfortably. ⛽ We’re literally sleeping on top of 280 liters of diesel—don’t worry, it’s well-sealed! 😉 🌬️ The bed has slats underneath to prevent moisture buildup and keep our mattress fresh. 🔧 Beneath the bed, we house our hydraulic autopilot pump, though soundproofing is on our to-do list! For storage, we have 3 cabinets, perfect for clothes and gear—everything we need for life onboard. This cabin truly feels like home, offering comfort and functionality no matter where we sail. We sail on the good ship Saracen, a Beneteau Oceanis 473 from 2006. Out journey started in Scotland in early 2023 and our ultimate goal is to sail around the globe …..slowly. We make these videos mostly for family and friends and to create a record of our adventures for ourselves so that we can look back at them later in life, were not in it to make money (way to hard).
