When the USGS came to us looking for a survey vessel for their Woods Hole operations, our fabrication division was up to the task, and delivered a vessel built to handle the agency’s important and challenging work. This 26’ aluminum vessel was launched this summer as part of our growing fleet of workboats. Much like the LMF 33 LC, the 28′ Landing Craft was built for commercial purposes. The Aluminum hull and drop down bow door, allow for easy beaching on less than desirable coastlines. The 28′ was built for the Anderson County fire department in South Carolina, so this boat had a built in water tank and pump so a hose can be connected for fire fighting operations. Being a custom boatbuilder, Lyman-Morse will be able to customize future orders to fit the exact needs of the buyers. Introducing the soon-to-be-famous Salt Wharf Burger. This bad boy incorporates the science behind how to properly grind beef with the indulgent pleasure of gooey cheese oozing out the sides after a big bite. Chef Chris created this burger based on the classics requirements of a great burger -- quality meat, a soft yet structured bun, bacon, crunchy veg, sharp cheese, and of course the pickle and fries. This version may be more elevated than the backyard griller's recipe, but it hits all the marks. Salt Wharf is located in Camden, Maine at the Lyman-Morse marina.
