It is powered by twin 25hp Yanmar high-thrust outboards that provide instant power, smooth low-speed handling, and quick acceleration to 10+ knots that could amaze any real sailor. These engines feature large displacement props, enhancing close-quarter maneuverability and low-end torque. The lightweight engine setup improves handling, reduces drag while sailing, and offers superior fuel efficiency compared to larger diesel engines. The boat is also capable of maintaining a respectable speed on a single motor. Ultimately, the 1160XL delivers refined, easy-to-maintain, corrosion-resistant performance without compromise. 👉 Contact us today to learn more, request a consultation, or reserve your build slot. #Seawind1160XL #SeawindCatamarans #BluewaterPerformance #shorts

When winter shows up, the build doesn’t slow down—it just gets… creative. With the cockpit shrink-wrapped, a single zippered doorway as our gateway to the cold, and our diesel heater pushing warm air wherever we need it, we’re keeping this project moving one day at a time. Today’s mission: getting our 600-pound diesel electric hybrid engine lifted just a few inches so we can prep the mounts beneath and lock everything in with fast-setting methacrylate. Working through winter is always an adventure. Do you push through the cold too? Or have a story from your own winter projects? Tell us below.
