The first leg of the ARC+ Rally 2024 has come to a thrilling conclusion, and what a journey it has been! This rally, spanning over 800 NM from Gran Canaria to Cape Verde, tested the mettle of sailors and their vessels. It’s a momentous occasion for all participants, but especially for the crews aboard the Catana OC 50 and the Bali 5.4, whose stellar performances demonstrated the strength, speed, and ingenuity of these world-class catamarans. 🏆ARC Rally from Canaries to St Lucia: 1st Place in Multihull Class & Overall Multihull Class Winner: Samourai – Catana 50 OC. The multihull division was the largest-ever with 43 catamarans and 2 trimarans. The rally’s start in Gran Canaria saw light winds of 8-13 knots, with conditions steadily improving to 13-18 knots as the fleet sailed southward. The crews worked tirelessly to optimize their sail plans, ensuring top performance even as they enjoyed moments of relaxation under the sun—a testament to the livability and comfort of their vessels. I snart 60 år har vi på Varbergs Sparbank delat ut ungdomsledarstipendier till ledare som gör ovärderliga insatser för att bygga det fantastiska föreningsliv vi har här i Varbergs kommun och Horred. Ungdomsledare som ger av sin ideella tid och som varje vecka ser, bekräftar och får barn och ungdomar att växa. I år har vi fått in: • 55 nominerade ungdomsledare • Som representerar 31 olika lokala föreningar Från och med i morgon ger vi oss ut på turné med checkar under armen, blomsterbuketter och konfettiregn och överraskar ledaren i sitt rätta element - tillsammans med föreningen - i en digital stipendieutdelning som pågår hela oktober. 10 ungdomsledare får 10 000 kr. Även föreningen som ledaren är aktiv i får 10 000 kr. Hoppas du följer med och hyllar Varbergs fantastiska ungdomsledare tillsammans med oss från och med 5 oktober.
