One of our favorite anchorages in the La Paz area is Isla San Francisco. Known for its crescent-shaped white sandy beach, crystal clear water, great hiking along the upper ridge and excellent snorkeling, this is a must see on your multi-day catamaran sailing adventure! For more information on booking a crewed catamaran charter in the Sea of Cortez on our Fountaine Pajot Saba 50 and/or if you would like to learn how to get your ASA 114 catamaran certification to sail your own catamaran, contact us here: 619.365.4326 explore@westcoastmultihulls.com charter-catamaran.com Photos: Eddie Frank www.californiacoastalcruising.com Talent: Hannah Fraser & Dakota Thompson www.youtube.com/@HannahFraserMermaid @dakota.kt Music: Astrud Gilberto "Agua de Beber" Special Thanks to: Mark Albertazzi @markalbertazzi JR Souza @realOutex Gary Winterboer @gwinterboer Guinevere King @guinevere.king @westcoastmultihulls

A favorite stop during our Sea of Cortez/Midriff Islands dive trips is Bahia de Los Angeles where we snorkel with whale sharks. These gentle giants come into this bay to feed. We use the local boats to take us into the bay. The crew looks for the whale sharks and then 4 people can get into the water with them. Sometimes they swim by quickly (there is absolutely no way to keep up with them ) and sometimes they are just happy to eat. We can even see multiple whale sharks at one time! Remember the three rules of snorkeling with whale sharks: 1) Don't touch the whale shark, 2) Don't touch the whale shark, and 3) Don't touch the whale shark. He he he!
