Eigentlich starten wir freitags ab 17 Uhr direkt mit dem Training. Aber gute Seemannschaft heißt auch: Bedingungen realistisch einschätzen. Wenn das Deck verschneit und spiegelglatt ist, wird’s unnötig gefährlich – also passen wir das Training an und nutzen die Zeit an Bord für alles, was drinnen sinnvoll ist (z. B. Dicen que ceñir es de pobres y seguramente lo será. Pero cuando uno nace así, le gustan las sensaciones fuertes y la ceñida es la emoción de la vela. Unos buenos bordos en ceñida, o una buena estrategia para llegar del punto A al punto B, son a mi entender el secreto de una buena navegación a vela. Quizás sea el motivo por el que me gusta navegar.
