At Lagoon, celebrations are taking place throughout 2024, having started in March with the presentation of the Lagoon 60 at their Bordeaux site and continued with the Lagoon Escapade. Over the long weekend of May 17, 18 and 19, no fewer than 30 owners’ rendezvous were held simultaneously all around the world (well, almost simultaneously, ignoring the time difference...). In all, 300 Lagoons and 1,500 crew celebrated this anniversary. J109 "Going to Red" beating to windward had a fine line to thread the gap between two other IRC 1 J-Boats during the first day of racing during Cork Week 2024. With the breeze building and plenty of bump it took a while for the crew on Going to Red to find their sea legs and get into the groove. . This knot is fun to tie and can save you a lot of hassle. It's commonly tied at the bitter end of halyards and sheets to prevent them from getting inadvertently pulled out of the block, fairleads, and jammers they've been led through.
