Our #sailing adventure in #newyork was a unique and challenging experience. Aside from being a bustling #harbour with much marine traffic, the harbour is affected by tidal currents—two floods and two ebbs every day. Learning the current patterns to plan your sail into the harbour is essential, especially if you want to sail up the East River and into the Long Island Sound. Pets are not allowed to land anywhere on the small sand dunes of Tubbataha Reefs as it is a marine protected area ... but they can swim if they like.
