Knowing how to tie a bowline is an essential skill for any sailor. The link below has a full demo :- https://youtu.be/zgTD5XD9kTM The bowline is often the first knot taught to sailors as it has so many application from the bow of your boat to the stern, some of these include :- - Attaching Sheets to sails. - Fixing pulleys to control lines. - Creating loops / handles in control lines. - Attaching reefing lines to the boom. - attacking mooring lines to your boat. If you are learning to sail or are thinking of getting in to the sport this is a must know skill that will only take a couple of minutes to master by watching our full video tutorial. https://youtu.be/zgTD5XD9kTM If you want to master more knots why not pick up a copy of the definitive book on knots. The Ashley Book of Knot has approximately 3900 different kinds, from simple hitches to “Marlinspike Seamanship.” Mr. Ashley has included almost everything there is to know about them. Precisely named and classified (some new ones for the first time officially), they can be easily found in the big index. He tells when they appeared, something about their history, and what they are good for. . https://amzn.to/3fkisle We hope you enjoyed todays video, thanks for stopping by and supporting Bottom up Boats, as an amazon associate we get commission from associated sales. ON LOCATION Who knew that when visiting Zagreb you could get to visit a vast underground military air base. Reportedly the largest underground airport and military airbase in the former Yugoslavia, and one of the largest in Europe. The airbase was used intensively in 1991, during the Yugoslav war. While long abandoned, you get to explore with care, underground tunnels that once totalled a length of 3.5 kilometres (now mostly in ruins). Today the airbase remains as an eerily desolate place. The tunnel network inside the mountain is a dark (literally) maze to explore. To book this tour we recommend a guide.
