Yep… we literally cut the back off our aluminum sailing catamaran 😅 As part of our major refit, we extended the sugarscoops — rebuilding the sterns completely from 4mm 5083 aluminum. The flat sheets were then pressed for the perfect shape, and welded back on — inside MIG welded and outside TIG welded. We couldn’t be happier with how they turned out! Finally got the washer installed this weekend! Yahoo!! Super stoked and we are so much closer to leaving the dock and have the luxury of doing laundry on the boat in the washer!
