Arrived in Bangkok, checked into a hotel near Khao San Road. Survived around 30min at Khao San - nothing like the charming and colorful night markets at Chiang Mai. Everyone hated it - even the teens! Left the hotel the next day and found a much nicer and more authentic area of Bangkok to stay in and explore.

Port Macdonnell is a relatively shallow bay facing the southern ocean and big swells creates a dangerous entry.
