Arrived in Bangkok, checked into a hotel near Khao San Road. Survived around 30min at Khao San - nothing like the charming and colorful night markets at Chiang Mai. Everyone hated it - even the teens! Left the hotel the next day and found a much nicer and more authentic area of Bangkok to stay in and explore.

Sailing out of Malta was supposed to be simple… until we realized we’d broken all three classic sailing rules in one go. Leaving on a Friday, bringing bananas on board, and, yes… supposedly no women on departure day. Do sailors still believe this stuff? Who knows — but it made for one unforgettable exit from Malta.
