At-risk homeless children learn how to "Taste a Rainbow," as part of a nutrition course created by Party Girl Diet author Aprilanne Hurley as a registered Natural Foods Chef with First Lady Michelle Obama's Chefs Move to Schools Program, Hurley taught the parents at Weinberg Village Waimanelo on the Hawaiian island of Oahu how to cook with fresh, local ingredients for better health; and showed the children how much fun eating healthy can be by teaching "nutrition through color." In this short clip you get a peek at how exited the children were to "Taste a RAinbow." By the end of the day, the parents and children ate 9 colors through a beautifully prepared, healthy meal complete with fruit kabobs for dessert! Special thanks to Holly Hollowach, Director of Weinberg Village Waimanalo for helping make this day possible for everyone. Mahalo! For more information visit: http://www,Aprilanne.com
🌊 Timing the Mona Passage WRONG can turn ugly FAST… Sput & Suzy from SV Validated and @damagecontrol_sailing joined me on the Salty Podcast to talk about getting slowed down to ONE knot in rough conditions while trying to make their way south through the Caribbean aboard their Island Packet 44. This was a great conversation about offshore sailing, weather windows, boat prep, and life on the thorny path. 🎥 Watch the full pod: https://saltyabandon.com/saltypodcast96 👕 Salty Podcast SPF Sailor Shirts: https://saltypodcast.myshopify.com 🧼 Airlock 10% OFF with code SALTY: https://saltyabandon.com/airlock10salty
