Ahoy! Sailing bliss or disaster? We're leaving the Eagle Point marinara a raw sail downwind to our marina in Lake Dallas. Cyndi and I have come this far to try our hand at a downwind wing-on-wing sail plan, after an easterly beam reach, then a westwardly sail. We had a great time practicing the training run and the down-wind sail setup. We leave our old friend, Sneaky Pete's Grill, and Eagle Point Marina behind and press forward, sailing back to Lake Dallas in our Catalina C-30 Tall Rig sailboat named Zanadu! Nautical artist, David Schor, is travelling in Europe creating commissioned art works and gathering imagery for new original paintings. He posted this clip from the San Remo Yacht Club in Northern Italy .... "On the day before the final race, the Yacht Club of San Remo held an informal event. As a jazz band played excellent music, an exquisite buffet was served. The sailors mixed, compared experiences and hopes for the final race.
