THE Benchmark design freefall lifeboat, the FF1200, received the Norwegian Design Council "Award For Design Excellence" in 2010. It set a world record drop height of 55m in 2009, and another at 65m in 2013. This video was broadcast at the pricegiving. Video should play in 1080p. While anchored today we spotted Humpback whales close to our boat. All hands on deck was the call. 2 stand up paddles were launched with Deb and our mate Bez jumping aboard with paddles. I was scrambling to get the drone setup and launched. Super cool!
