While sailing though Vanuatu, we came across this massive 50m superyacht high and dry up on the reef. She had been shipwrecked during Cyclone Pam in 2015, and ever since then, it has been a struggle between owners, the government, and the local village as to who owns her, and what to do about it. The story was so intriguing that we filmed a documentary style video on the mystery surrounding the Blue Gold, and find out that in a week they were actually going to try drag her off the reef. This workout filled my cup in so many ways... I got to use free weights, workout on a solid gym floor (NOT sand or a random concrete pathway), surrounded by air conditioning, and doing my FAVORITE style of training - athletic, powerful, explosive. These last couple months have been pretty hard to stay on track. When you’re in the extreme heat, don’t have a proper training environment and the most minimal equipment - you start to get discouraged. Add in some minor aches and pains and imbalances that you can’t fix, and the whole thing starts to feel like a chore😣 I am beyond grateful for this gym, for my body, and for all you guys cheering me on (your messages mean so much to me).
