A heavy wind on the course saw Svea cross the line in fourth place in both the fourth and fifth race of the championship today, just eight seconds behind Lionheart on corrected time in the last race of the day. It's been a thrill to see her strength on the course in her first season of racing, with the careful work by our team who launched her this year paying dividends.

We produce nearly 300 million tons of plastic every year, half of which is single-use. We have developed a “disposable” lifestyle. Estimates are that around 50% of plastic is used just once and thrown away. Annually approximately 500 billion plastic bags are used worldwide. More than one million bags are used every minute. A plastic bag has an average “working life” of 15 minutes. Over the last ten years, we have produced more plastic than during the whole of the last century. It is estimated that 8 million tons of plastic pollute the Ocean each year – that’s a truck full of plastic produced every minute. We cannot deny that something is changing. If we continue this way, by 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish (in weight). The good news is – it’s not too late!
