ITALY: Boats Seen Stuck Against Bridge After River Bursts Banks in Turin | Latest News The flooding that swamped northern Italy on November 24 and 25 claimed two famous victims in Turin when a pair of tourist boats, described as ?symbols? of the city by La Stampa, were swept away by the surging River Po and crashed into a bridge. This footage shows the flooding and boats against the bridge. The boats are known as Valentino and Valentina, and, according to Repubblica, Valentina sunk after the impact. One of our friends in Monterey let us take his Boston Whaler out for a spin, and Ira discovered... again... that she likes to go fast! She asked me to sit in the front so I could feel what it was like to try to take photographs from the front of the boat, and boy was it bumpy! She offered to speed up to try to skip across the wave tops a bit more, but I felt like it was plenty fast. Just like on a bumpy road, sometimes the best way to smooth out the ride is to go 100MPH...?
