SCOOCH is nicely updated and well maintained Bermuda 40 Classic yawl, recently donated to Maine Maritime Academy and available for a three-year lease-to-own charter. From 2022-24, Crocker’s Boatyard in Massachusetts completed a $200,000 refit to include a 40hp Nanni (Kubota) diesel engine, new air conditioning with revere cycle heat, almost all new wiring, new SeaFrost refrigeration, new Garmin electronics, new head system and holding tank, and new water heater, plus many other smaller ancillary and connected items. Corrosion perforante découverte sur la poutre transversale de notre Lagoon 42 (2018), au niveau de la jonction des daviers. Après démontage et nettoyage, des traces de corrosion galvanique importantes sont apparues, avec perforation localisée de l’aluminium. Si vous êtes propriétaire de Lagoon 40 ou 42, vérifiez la zone sous les daviers avant : inox / aluminium + humidité + électrolyte = corrosion galvanique possible. Nous documentons ici le constat, sans conclusion hâtive.
