Recently we worked with the Irish Sailing Association at their Youth Pathway event held at Ballyholme Yacht Club. The event was one of the largest we have covered yet with racing over 5 fleets and 3 race courses. Fleets included Toppers, Optimists, Laser 4.7s, Laser Radials and 420s. As the ISA are currently working on building their social media channels, we decided that opting for several short videos would be most suited to their needs. We decided that filming would only be needed for one day, to allow us to get the content we required. We produced an overall video to release first, along with a short teaser for Instagram. We then worked and made a short 40-60 second video for each class. We also have the option to use the content to promote future events for the ISA
A messy deck offshore is more than annoying—it can become genuinely dangerous in rough weather. So Steve designed and sewed a completely custom line-management system for Arabella to make reefing safer and cleaner offshore. Steve began the journey as an amateur wooden boat builder crafting a 38' wooden sailboat in his backyard: designer William Atkin's Ingrid with a Stormy Petrel's gaff rig. These videos follow the journey from tree felling, to lumber milling, to lofting, to the lead keel pour and now sailing the boat—sharing details of the woodworking, carpentry, metal smithing, tool building, and tool maintenance that traditional wooden boats command. This ultimate DIY project continues beyond the boat shop, as Steve and crew travel and learn to cruise aboard the handmade wooden boat that they've built. Just kidding about all that, this channel is about a Siberian Laika named Akiva. -------------------------- If you are interested in supporting/helping here are a few ways: https://www.acorntoarabella.com/how-to-help Acorn to Arabella's wishlist: https://www.acorntoarabella.com/wishlistpriority TotalBoat supports A2A! The Lagoon 42 is all about easy, comfortable living. 🧘 Its large outdoor deck and spacious main deck inside are fully connected, with wide-opening doors that create a seamless flow between the two areas – it feels like one big open space. As production of this iconic model winds down to make way for its successor, the Lagoon 43, this is one of the last opportunities to own a new Lagoon 42. 💨 Known as one of the most popular models ever, the Lagoon 42 is fantastic for family trips and equally great for charters. It also operates as a bareboat, providing clients with the option to charter without a skipper, making it an ideal choice for experienced sailors and charter companies alike.
