Flying My Dog for the First Time 🐾 | Preparing for Airplane Camping Adventures In this video, I take my dog flying in my airplane for the very first time to prepare him for airplane camping this summer. As a pilot and professional skydiver, I want to make sure my dog is completely comfortable with every part of the flying experience before we head out on longer aviation adventures together. We go step-by-step through the process of introducing him to general aviation: Sitting in the cockpit with the engine off Starting the engine and getting used to the noise Taxiing around the airport And finally, a short flight around the pattern He crushed the ground portion like a pro, but once we took off, he definitely got more nervous in the air. I kept the flight short and smooth so we could build up his confidence gradually. Even though we love our salon, we see so much potential to make it even better! Here’s what’s on our list: 🛋️ Port Side: We’ve torn down the old cabinets and will build one big, optimized storage cabinet to make better use of the space. 🍿 Dinner Table Upgrade: We’re changing the table base so it can be lowered and turned into a cozy bed for Sunday lounging and movie nights. 🛏️ Starboard Side: The lounge chairs will be replaced with a comfy daybed—perfect for relaxing after a long day at sea. 🚿 Washer/Dryer: A washer/dryer is in the works, with plans to install it under the nav station for maximum space efficiency.
