Out approach to the nav buoys and the St. Marys inlet with Cumberland island (famous for the wild horses on island) after our 1474 mile passage from Antigua--most of the last 31 hours were in a Storm with winds at 40 knots, 4-6 meter seas and we blew out the mainsail just after dawn this day. We were happy to see the inlet. This was the first trip to the U.S. for Sloan (Antiguan) [ Antigua to St. Thomas to St.Marys Georgia, USA passage short reels ]
As part of their 150th anniversary celebrations, Holland America Line's flag ship Rotterdam retraced her steps and made an Eastbound transatlantic crossing 150 years to the day after the historic first voyage. After leaving New York the first port of call was our home town of Plymouth in South West England. We went along to see the amazing welcome given to guests by the Cruise Plymouth volunteers as well as taking a look of this stunning ship moored off Plymouth's historic shore line. We had an amazing 2 week baltic cruise on Rotterdam's sister ship Koningsdam pre-COVID, and you can check out our inside cabin tour video on our channel. Please subscribe for more cruise content as well as our upcoming port guide to our home town! #HollandAmerica150 #hollandamerica #rotterdam #visitplymouth
