In the end, the general success of this transatlantic -supervised rally and the ever more pressing demand from owners of catamarans and trimarans led the World Cruising Club to organize a second rally – the ARC + –, then a third – the ARC January. Anchor watch, boat rage and a beautiful day sail along the Cote D’Azure… With a strong mistral forecast to blow out of the Gulf of Lyon we spent a night on anchor watch outside of St Tropez before hoisting the sails and heading east to the largest marina in the Mediterranean, by tonnage; Antibes.
