First Light - Beneteau First 35 slipping into the main harbour at the half way mark of the Harbour Race of Cork Week 2024. With over 100 boats on the start line everyone was fighting for air shortly after the start, with the tide coming in all day it paid to get right early to find both clear air and some relief from the stronger tide out in the main channel. On the way back in the trick was to find the deepest part of the channel to ensure you were in maximum tide to increase your speed over ground. The most famous image of Mykonos is the five windmills standing on a small hill by the water, which you can already see from a distance when approaching the town. Most of the windmills face north and were built by the Venetians in the 16th century. They also look stunning at sunset. In this video, you can see how close they are to Little Venice, which is located directly across from the windmills.
