Even with the very best of planning you may be surprised by what you encounter when sailing across the vast ocean. Join us aboard our Lagoon 42 for our post hurricane season sail from Curaçao onward towards the U.S. Virgin Islands as we run into some nasty storms and unexpected surprises from US Border Patrol. Experience life on the wind, join us for a sail 👉🏽 https://cruisenautic.com Do you love travel, does your urge for adventure leave you longing to break free to live the boat life? In 2017 we decided we would do just that, so we sold everything we owned and started out for a new life at sea. We are two USCG 100 Ton Captains who sailed our Lagoon 42 Catamaran out of France and over the last 5+ years we have crossed the Atlantic and completed several circumnavigations of the Caribbean. Our winter base is the Virgin Islands where we offer a variety of sailing and dive experiences aboard CruiseNautic. Music: Diabuleria by KaleidoSea - Artlist Licensed
One of the most intimidating things for sailors and boaters pulling into Fort Lauderdale for the first time is dealing with the network of opening bridges on the Intracoastal Waterway. In Fort Lauderdale and the surrounding areas on the ICW the bridges open on a schedule with a request over the VHF radio. They monitor channel 9, and open every thirty minutes upon request. Heading north from Port Everglades to Hillsboro Inlet here is the list of bridges and their opening schedule: 17th Street Cause Way - On the hour or half-hour Las Olas Bridge - Quarter or three-quarter hour Sunrise Bridge - On the hour or half-hour Oakland Park Bridge - Quarter or three-quarter hour Commercial Bridge - On the hour or half-hour Atlantic Bridge - Quarter or three-quarter hour NE 14th St Bridge - Quarter or three-quarter hour Hillsboro Inlet Bridge - On the hour or half-hour For more information on anything boating or sailing related, don't hesitate to reach out. www.CatamaranCentral.com info@CatamaranCentral.com
