New ILCAs come in two specifications, Classic and Carbon. Classic boats come with Aluminium mast sections and tillers, less popular with racers due to their weight and size. Composite spec boats come with the Composite top section, tiller, and tiller extension.

LE VENDEE GLOBE, un tour du monde à la voile en solitaire Le Vendée Globe est une course à la voile autour du monde, en solitaire et sans escale. Un tour du monde à la voile, d’Ouest en Est, par les trois grands caps de Bonne Espérance, Leeuwin et Horn. Le point de départ et d'arrivée de la course: Les Sables d’Olonne. Le monocoque StMichel-Virbac construit au chantier Multiplast En avril dernier, Jean-Pierre Dick et ses partenaires annonçaient leur retour en monocoque avec l’objectif de participer aux épreuves du championnat Ocean Masters de 2015 à 2017, avec en point d’orgue le Vendée Globe 2016. StMichel-Virbac, dessiné par Verdier VPLP, sera construit au chantier vannetais Multiplast. We are finally here! We have moved onto our sailboat CUBA and we are slowly getting her ready to sail as far as the winds allow us. Just the two of us: Enrique aka Kiki from Cuba and Sarah aka Salsa from Germany and our furry crew. We are setting out adventurizing, shananiganing and learning as we sail through the Mediterranean to – hopefully – cross the Atlantic next year and then circumnavigate the world.
